Larry R. Plum, CPCU Presentation Speech made by Jerry Clark, CPCU
This unassuming, humble, energetic and enthusiastic person moved to Cincinnati over fifteen years ago. From the very start he has been an active supporter of the Cincinnati CPCU Chapter and all of its leaders and programs. It was his idea for our Board to seek out a paid, professional administrative agent for our rapidly growing Chapter, and the resulting relationship with the Cincinnati Insurance Board has richly served and strengthened our Chapter. His professional leadership, however, has reached well beyond the boundaries of Greater Cincinnati. He has been a Trustee of the Griffith Foundation since 1993 and served as Trustee with the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) from 1993-1996. In 1999, he was elected as the OII Chairman and Executive Committee member. Here in our community he has also served on boards and organizations, including Athletes in Action and the Cincinnati Boys Choir, and he has been a strong supporter of the Salvation Army's many programs. At the heart of this individual's servant leadership to his profession and his community is a deep abiding faith in God. He has served for many years on the Board of the United Methodist Church's Otterbein Homes, a group of church retirement homes in southwestern Ohio. He has been a leader in the Cincinnati Emmaus Community, a Christian leadership renewal program, including service on their Board of directors. In 1999, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Prodigal Ministries and serves as an Honorary Trustee of Insuring the Children of Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. On behalf of the 2001 I-Day Committee it is
my special privilege to invite John W. Reynolds, Jr., CPCU, President
of the CPCU Society, to present to Larry R. Plum, CPCU, Senior Vice
President of The Cincinnati Insurance Company and President of The Cincinnati
Casualty Company the 2001 CPCU Award of Excellence.
