Board Meeting Minutes
December 6, 2002

Attendees: Sharyn Prime, Bob Braun, Brian Wood, Diane Richardson, Stephan Perry

Brian called the meeting to order at 7:50 A.M.

The minutes of the November 1st meeting were approved.

Treasurer's Report:
Bernie reporting.

Bernie forwarded a printed report since he could not attend. He noted the books were with Mark Kadnar for tax preparation. We filed an extension in order to complete dissolution of the old organization preparatory to filing as a corporation this fiscal year. We have been operating as a corporation since July 2, 2002. We have to re-file for tax-exempt status; we have a new tax ID number. We are now the Cincinnati Chapter Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, Inc.

Officer Report:
Bob Braun reporting.

The report on the November dinner was good. There were about 100 attendees; probably enough to cover the facility costs. Gifts were being distributed.

I-Day:
Brian Wood reporting.

Brian said the schedule was pretty much ironed out except for the end of the day. We may just have an extended happy hour. The program will end about 4:30 or 5.
If we get fifteen vendors and 200 people we should break even.
The AV equipment used at PB Stadium is good--$1500 to use; if you spend more the price drops. Brian said the price is much more reasonable than at any of the hotels.
Parking costs $3.00 in the public lot.
Cards and letters are to go out to potential vendors.
The Risk Ed Society is participating with a speaker and booth.
We are also seeking sponsorships.

Programs Update:
Sharyn reporting.

We can have a breakfast meeting in January and invite the new designees-the class of 2003. An e-mail and phone call to them seems appropriate.
We have a speaker for the March meeting.
We've been holding meetings every other month.

Project INVest:

Jon Florer was absent.

Circle of Excellence Update:

Bob Braun will be visiting local companies.
Perhaps Don Malecki could contribute something to the Web site.
The Circle of Excellence projects are to be completed by June 1st.

New Business:

Bob Braun noted that a program setting up teen driving seminars in memory of Makena Anne (Kenzie) Comisar, and this might be something we could contribute to. He will bring it up at the next meeting.
Sharyn referred to an article by Don Riggin in the Business Courier.

The meeting adjourned at 8:15; the next meeting will be January 10th at 7:30.
